Roda Golf Resort

This luxury first-class golf resort is situated between the clear waters of the Mar Menor and the nearby village of Roda. The properties are set around a fantastic 18 hole part 72 hole golf course, designed by Dave Thomas and offering the services of golf professional Sam Torrance. It is the first course in Murcia to attain the ISO 14.001 environment award.

Facilities at the resort are still under construction but on completion will include a five star hotel and spa managed by De Vere Hotels, restaurants, bars, shops, cycle trails, tennis courts, gym and sports coaching services as well as a private beach club situated on La Manga.

Roda Golf & Beach Resort, as the name suggests, also includes a private Beach Club. It has a glorious stretch of white sandy beach, a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, solariums and, of course, the sea.

The Beach Club is reached by a short boat ride across the shallow lagoon, the Mar Menor.

Los Alcazares (pronounced Los Alcatha-res) is the nearest town and sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, a saltwater lagoon separated from the Mediterranean Sea by a 22 kilometre long strip of land called La Manga. The area enjoys an average of 320 days of sunshine each year. Bars, cafes and restaurants provide drinks, tapas, meals and entertainment and the warm waters of the Mar Menor help make the town a paradise for bathers and watersports enthusiasts. The local beaches of Los Alcazares have won the Q awards for their excellent high standards while the mineral rich waters of the Mar Menor are revered for their health giving properties.
